Privacy Policy

Same Seed (“the game”) is a browser garden puzzle operated under bysoft.site. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

1. Information we collect

The game does not require an account and does not collect personal identifiers such as your name, email, or device ID.

We use your browser’s localStorage to save purely local data:

• An anonymous player id and a randomly generated display name (same-seed.player) — used only to attribute your row on the shared board.

2. Shared daily leaderboard

The Daily mode posts a public score so everyone playing the same day’s board can compare ranks. When a Daily season ends, the game sends our score service:

• your anonymous player id and display name (above),
• your score, and
• the action log of the season (which plot you planted, watered or harvested on which day) — the server replays it through the game’s own rules to recompute your score and keep the board honest. Nothing about your device, timing, or behaviour is sent.

The service runs on scores.bysoft.site and stores the above in a database on our own server. It is not shared with advertisers. Free play mode never submits anything. You can opt out of the shared board at any time by not playing Daily. All other data in section 1 stays on your device.

3. Cookies and analytics

We do not use analytics cookies, tracking pixels, or device fingerprinting, and this game currently shows no ads.

4. Children’s privacy

The game is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will delete it.

5. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
